Position Summary

Full time, fixed term (12 Oct 2026 – 15 Dec 2026) maternity cover.

Role

We are looking for a certified teacher to lead a Year 5 class in Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi. Subjects include English, Health & physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics & statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, and the arts.

Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess curriculum‑aligned teaching for Year 5 students, ensuring structured, explicit instruction and support for diverse learners. Foster a learning environment aligned with the School’s Science of Learning approach.

Qualifications

Certified teacher with experience in Year 5 or equivalent level. In‑depth knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and ability to cater for the needs of diverse students.
