Year 1 Class Teacher

About the role

justteachers are supporting a primary school in Rugby to recruit a Year 1 Class Teacher. This is a full-time role with a April 2026 start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a strong KS1 team and a well-structured phonics programme, with a focus on early reading and language development. Leadership provide regular CPD and collaborative planning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Year 1 lessons
• Support phonics and early reading
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with colleagues

Pre-requisites

• Qualified Teaching Status or equivalent
• Proven experience in Primary Education
• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
