**Job Description**

The Yard Worker supports daily operations at a busy recycling facility by guiding customers, monitoring incoming materials, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized yard. This hands-on role requires working on your feet outdoors in all weather conditions while consistently providing friendly, customer-focused service and helping to ensure that prohibited or hazardous items do not enter the recycling process.

**Responsibilities**

+ Greet customers as they arrive and direct them to the appropriate recycling or dumping areas.
+ Monitor materials being dropped off and promptly identify and remove prohibited or hazardous items from the recycling stream.
+ Clearly explain proper recycling procedures and yard rules to customers in a respectful and helpful manner.
