Workforce Coordinator
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Canterbury District Workforce team based in Christchurch. This role supports the Canterbury Police District team, managers, and staff to enable our people to deliver our business through management of rosters, abstractions, training certifications, deployability and job transfers.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage day‑to‑day variations in employee and workgroup rosters to keep the roster accurate and effective in meeting workload demands.
- Manage mandatory training required for staff (eg PCT, Firearms, First Aid etc.).
- Approve or decline leave or absence requests in accordance with agreed workgroup business rules to maintain optimum staffing levels.
- Cooperate and work effectively with other team members/employees to achieve team goals and standards.
- Prepare and present (written or verbal) information in a clear and concise way.
