Work Placement Tutor

Responsibilities

• Work closely with academic departments and Employability, Skills and Careers teams to ensure student work placements are effectively coordinated, approved, and completed in line with Technical Level requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders to support high‑quality placement opportunities
• Carry out pre‑placement health and safety checks and conduct on‑site visits to review student progress and liaise with employers
• Monitor and track placement activity, maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates on placement approvals and progress
• Act as a key point of contact for students and employers, providing timely support and resolving any issues that arise during placements
• Support students and academic staff to ensure placements meet programme requirements and learning outcomes
