Wind Turbine Technician - Blade Inspection (Coalhurst)

Job Overview

A Snapshot of Your Day As a Wind Turbine Technician, you’ll be responsible for the routine service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines. While based at a home wind farm, you’ll also support a mobile team that covers up to three additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct blade inspections, the main part of the role, including inspection of all blade quadrants and demarking the findings.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, site rules, and environmental protocols.
• Respond effectively to stressful or hazardous situations, ensuring the safety of yourself and your team.
• Climb turbines (up to 300 feet) and work in confined spaces at elevation.
• Travel and support other sites as required; overtime will be required.
