Job Description: Welder/Fabricator Sunderland (SR4), Tyne & Wear Job Type: Full-Time (Temporary to Permanent opportunity) Purpose of the Role To manufacture, repair, and rebuild heavy-duty earthmoving buckets and attachments, ensuring high-quality welding and fabrication standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Carry out MIG welding using 1.2mm bare wire Perform multi-run fillet welding on plate thicknesses (6mm200mm) Fabricate, repair, and rebuild heavy plant attachments Use oxy-fuel equipment for burning, gouging, and chamfering Operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment Work with overhead cranes (if trained) Read and interpret engineering drawings Maintain high health & safety standards Complete work to tight tolerances and quality requirements Essential Requirements Time-served Welder/Fabricator or equivalent experience Around 2 years fabrication/welding experience (preferred) Ability to weld and fabricate independently Experience in heavy plant or similar...
