Weekend Overnight Counselor
Location: West Hempstead, NY | Schedule: PT Saturday & Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM | Status: Non-Exempt |Salary Range: $20.35/hour
The Opportunity
The Overnight Awake Residential Counselor is responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment during overnight hours in an OMH-licensed Children’s Community Residence. This role provides continuous awake supervision, ensures resident safety and well-being, responds to crises and emergencies, and completes required documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards. The position also supports continuity of care between evening and morning shifts.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain continuous awake supervision of residents throughout the overnight shift.
+ Conduct scheduled and as-needed bed checks to ensure resident safety and well-being.
