Web Application Security Engineer

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Web Application Security Engineer to support our client’s web application security initiatives in Cleveland, OH. This role will focus heavily on managing and maintaining the Akamai platform, ensuring secure, reliable delivery of web applications across the enterprise.
The engineer will work closely with both the network and security teams to configure, monitor, and optimize web application security controls, including WAF policies and protections aligned with OWASP standards. This role will partner with 4–5 onshore developers as well as an offshore team, providing guidance on security best practices and supporting secure application deployments.
Day to day responsibilities include overseeing Akamai configurations, addressing security risks related to IPs and ASNs, collaborating on incident response related to web threats, and ensuring stable, secure operation of web-facing platforms. This is a highly collaborative role requiring stro...
