Water Treatment Plant Operator Trainee

Based in Sudbury, ON , the Water Treatment Plant Operator Trainee will report to the Environmental Department Lead and will have a core range of duties which focus on water treatment in a mining environment. Other work elements will include sampling, minor maintenance, reagent inventory monitoring, and safety inspections. The plant does not require a certified operator. You will be part of a team that provides treatment, care, and maintenance to a growing number of inactive and/or reactivating mine sites in the private sectors. This is a new position. The base hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00.

What You’ll Do:

• Attend the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) on a regular schedule ensuring that systems and effluent remain within release parameters
• Perform routine sampling of both process and designated environmental samples.
• Deliver samples to the lab
