This position may be filled at the Utilities Technician I, II, or III level depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, licenses, and certifications. Salary will be commensurate with the level at which the position is filled.

The purpose of this classification is to perform installation, repair, and maintenance work in construction and maintenance of the City's water distribution and/or wastewater collection systems.

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Assists in conducting various repairs for distribution and collection systems of the City, such as leaks, main breaks, manholes, faulty valves, broken fire hydrants.
