Waste Operative

As a Litterpicker at our Waste Treatment in Waterbeach, you will be responsible for collecting loose waste material across the site and ensure it is disposed of correctly in order to maintain a tidy, safe and pleasant environment.

Responsibilities

• High degree of physical mobility and activity.
• Operating simple hand tools and equipment.
• Driving and operating site vehicles safely, showing due consideration for other site users.
• Presenting a professional image to our internal and external customers – maintaining work clothes, tools and vehicles in a clean and tidy condition.
• Completing allocated work within set time scales.
• Carrying out the work to which they are allocated to the required standards, including avoiding risks to the environment.
• Working at all times in accordance with relevant risk assessments and safe working methods, taking into account site hazards on the day, and using the appropri...
