Volunteer Speaker

As a volunteer speaker, youwill use your voice to inspire people with stories from those we work withoverseas.

You Will make a fantasticcontribution to our work by delivering pre-scripted 4-minute talks at Mass inlocal Catholic parish churches across Essex and east London. These talks aremainly given at weekends spanning the two CAFOD Fast days a year, duringearly Lent and at Harvest (October) which are our fundraising platforms inCatholic parishes during the year. You may also be asked to deliver a talk toparish groups. As a speaker you will play a highly valued role in raisingawareness and support for CAFOD’s work. You will meet amazing communities andmotivate them to participate.

At minimum, you could speak onjust four weekends a year (around the Fast Days at the beginning of Octoberand beginning of Lent). There are more opportunities throughout the year ifyou wish to give more time. Prior to each Fast Day you will be invited totake part in a briefing day to en...
