Peer Mentor Role Description

A Peer Mentor is a volunteer who has experienced similar challenges and supports people toward education, work, or employment. Volunteers gain confidence, empowerment and can access a more positive sense of identity.

Are You the Right Candidate?

• Are you able to devote 1-2 hours a week for a period of 3 months at our supported accommodation, Oasis House?
• Can you inspire others, give them hope through self‑disclosure and be an example of recovery?
• Can you build relationships based on trust, acceptance, understanding and empathy from a shared lived experience?
• Can you tap into your own experience to help us identify barriers, gaps in services, good practice and areas for improvement?
