Job Opportunity

This is a volunteer non-paid, at-will position and serves at the pleasure of the Kings County Fire Chief. Volunteer firefighters must reside within Kings County. The Kings County Fire Department is looking for energetic, reliable individuals to fill Volunteer Firefighter positions throughout Kings County. Volunteering is a great way to support your local community and even prepare for a paid career in the fire and rescue services. Under direct supervision, Volunteer Firefighters will engage in fire and rescue activities. Duties are usually performed under emergency conditions, frequently involving considerable hazard. Volunteer Firefighters receive training in modern firefighting techniques and equipment, fire prevention, advanced First Aid, CPR, salvage, and related activities.
