Visiting Professor, Biological Sciences Instructor and Laboratory Program Director, non-tenure track

Job Description:
The Department of Biological Sciences at Ohio University Biological Sciences Department | Ohio University (https://www.ohio.edu/cas/biology) invites applications for a Visiting Professor to teach undergraduate biology laboratory sections and provide leadership for the coordination, management, and ongoing development of the department’s undergraduate laboratory program. The position requires a strong commitment to student-centered instruction, experiential learning, laboratory safety, and collaborative academic engagement.
This position carries a 60% teaching and 40% service workload. The teaching assignment will typically include 5–6 introductory or upper-level laboratory courses per academic year in the areas of cellular, molecular, and microbial biology. This may also involve the development, revision, and assessment of laboratory curricula, as well as leadership in evidence-based and inquiry-driven laboratory pedagogy.
