Virtual Construction Tech Lead

Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Virtual Construction Tech Lead for their VC team. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical authority for virtual construction technology across mechanical sheet metal, piping, and plumbing operations. This individual will lead and standardize digital workflows that support fabrication, layout, and field installation, with a strong focus on model-based layout using Trimble RTS total stations. They will ensure accuracy in model preparation, control points, and naming conventions while providing hands-on support to field layout crews for setup, calibration, and troubleshooting. Additionally, they will lead reality capture initiatives, managing scanning workflows, point cloud data, and integration into virtual construction models to support coordination, QA/QC, and as-built documentation.
