Job Description
Take on a full-time role as Public Works Operator II with the Village of Warfield. Lead in the maintenance and operation of essential municipal services and infrastructure.
As part of the CUPE Local 2087 bargaining unit, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of infrastructure including water, wastewater, roads, and parks. Reporting to the Public Works Foreman, you will also take part in snow and ice control and utility response operations, ensuring community needs are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive and maintain heavy equipment and tools for public works
• Inspect and ensure the quality of municipal infrastructures
• Participate in emergency response operations and snow control
• Work in conjunction with public stakeholders and contractors
• Adhere to WorkSafeBC regulations for safety
