Video Editor

WEAR is seeking an experienced, detail oriented, and creative Full-time Video Editor to join our team.

**Job Responsibilities:**

+ Edit video for daily news coverage, special projects, and sweep period stories
+ Ingest news feeds from bureaus and various news organizations
+ Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and producers to create compelling visual elements for newscasts
+ Meet daily deadlines in a fast paced, high energy newsroom environment

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience editing video in a professional newsroom, production environment, or related field
+ Proficiency with non linear editing systems and newsroom technology
+ Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
+ Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
+ Knowledge of broadcast news operations is a plus
