Job Description
The Position
:• Assist with daily food preparation and service
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other fresh menu items
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times
• Support kitchen operations in high-volume periods
• Manage stock and minimise waste
The Person:
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Catering Assistant or in a similar role
• Experience working in aged care facilities – essential
• Monday to Friday availability – essential
• Working With Children Check (WWCC) – essential
• Aged care vaccination – essential
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate knowledge of food safety and food handling
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn
