Veterinary Extern - General Practice

LEARN, Work & Play in Bracebridge, located in beautiful Muskoka. Our 2-Veterinarian clinic provides compassionate and exceptional care to dogs, cats and exotics! Our team of Veterinarians take pleasure in supporting through mentorship opportunities. Our support teams are welcoming, proficient & encouraging. Students joining Bracebridge Animal Hospital will experience hands‑on mentoring support while working with an awesome team.

Externship Experience

• Work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gather patient histories, perform physical exams, create treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observe/assist or perform surgical procedures, and manage patients medically.
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Duration

Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules.
