Utility Systems Repairer-Operator

Summary This position is located within the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area (PA), National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan, KS. In this position, you will provide maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance for a variety of very large and complex HVAC equipment, heating and boiler equipment, and emergency generators in the Central Utility Plant. Responsibilities Installs, modifies, repairs, maintains, troubleshoots, tests, and loads new or existing electrical circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment. Performs preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems to include boilers, chillers, and emergency generators. Assembles, tests, and maintains circuitry or electronic components using standard test equipment and analyzes results to evaluate performance and determines required adjustments.
