UTILITIES SYSTEMS OPERATOR

Summary You will serve as a UTILITIES SYSTEMS OPERATOR in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE (PWBL) of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will adjust and regulate water and sewage systems to maintain maximum operating efficiency. You will collect samples and perform basic tests on water and wastewater for quality control and compliance determination. You will control flow rate to suit conditions, rate of flow, concentration, and type of influent. You will use test equipment and measuring services (e.g., micrometers, precision levels, flow meter, hydrostatic testers) to perform work assignments. You will operate a wastewater treatment plant in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
