The city of Redding in Shasta County (upper northern California) has a unique geography. Redding is bounded on three sides by state or national parks (Shasta/Trinity, Whiskeytown and Lassen Natl Park). This semi-rural area has multiple wilderness environments nearby ideally suited for many outdoors and wilderness activities including rock climbing at Castle crags, or Mountain climbing at Mt Shasta (14,000 ft peak, the second highest in the cascade mountain chain). White water rafting and/or fly fishing is readily available on several rivers (Sacramento, Pit, Mcloud, and Trinity rivers) and multiple local mountain biking trails. The Redding VA urgent care is a new facility with a very positive reviews from and interactions with the veterans it serves. Our urgent care has the capability to utilized CT/US and MRI in addition to labs for diagnostic purposes.
