Job Description

Position Summary
 This position works under the direction of the administrative medical director to assist in the implementation of selected portions of the care plan, and perform a variety of direct patient care services through defined protocols/standing orders approved by the administrative medical director. 
Position Duties
 Performs patient care interventions, including medication administration, in alignment with state scope of practice and tasks approved by Phoenix Childrens and administrative medical director, and in collaboration with the healthcare team.
 
 Performs focused assessment of their interventions as appropriate, including complete documentation and escalation of abnormalities as indicated.
 
 Provides orientation to the unit, hospital systems, and processes to patients and family members to ensure familiarity with units policies and requirements.
