Tree Production I is responsible for shifting plants from smaller containers into larger containers as the plants grow. This role supports healthy plant development by following proper planting techniques and maintaining plant quality throughout the production process.

Employees in this role work as part of the production team to ensure plants are properly transplanted, organized, and maintained within the nursery.

Essential functions include:

• Identify plant varieties and evaluate plant quality prior to shifting.
• Follow proper planting techniques including root pruning, correct planting depth, and proper irrigation practices.
• Transplant plants from smaller containers into larger containers as directed.
• Assist with stocking and organizing trees after shifting.
• Utilize and maintain assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) and properly care for company tools and equipment.
