Job Details
• Promote pharmaceutical care by managing the medication process, identifying and preventing potential drug-related problems, and resolving actual drug-related problems.
• Perform duties of a registered pharmacist as defined by Texas Children's Hospital.
• Responsibilities performed in a manner developmentally appropriate for patients aged 0-adult.
• Ensure appropriateness of all medication doses considering patient diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions.
• Accurately enter medication orders in computer.
• Ensure correct medications are dispensed to patients.
• Process medication orders and deliver doses within established guidelines.
• Follow aseptic technique and infection control in preparation of sterile products.
• Insist technicians and other pharmacists practice aseptic technique and infection control....
