Job Description

Transport Planner (Full-Time)
Location: Derbyshire
 Hours: 42.5 per week
 Salary: £35,000 (DOE)
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a fast-paced transport operations team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day planning of vehicle movements, ensuring routes are efficient, compliant, and delivered to a high standard. You'll work independently to keep operations running smoothly-maximising fleet availability, reducing cost, and supporting strong service performance.
What You'll Do
Plan efficient routes and driver schedules using transport management systems (TMS) for both LTL and FTL movements
Use strong knowledge of UK road networks, traffic patterns, and regional route constraints
Ensure compliance with UK/EU regulations including driver hours, breaks, and tachograph rules
Allocate jobs to drivers based on vehicle suitability,...
