Our client is a leading FMCG Distributor and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Transport planning professional as they look to recruit a Transport Planner at their site in Burnley on a Sunday to Thursday basis (10 am – 7 pm).

Key Accountabilities as Transport Planner

• Plan and manage daily multi‑drop delivery schedules
• Route vehicles efficiently to maximise fleet and driver utilisation
• Allocate and manage driver/vehicle resources effectively
• Monitor live delivery routes using tracking systems
• Manage day‑to‑day driver, route, and customer queries
• Resolve delivery issues quickly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with drivers’ hours regulations and digital tachograph requirements
• Maintain legal transport compliance across the operation
• Manage vehicle defect reporting and escalate maintenance issues...
