Transport Coordinator

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join our friendly team in Lutterworth on a full‑time permanent basis. The purpose of a Transport Coordinator is to effectively plan driver and vehicle resources to achieve delivery/collection times, whilst optimising resources and adhering to WTD and driver's hours legislation.

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating the daily run summary to achieve delivery and collection deadlines.
• Ensuring that service levels are achieved and maintained, in conjunction with other departments.
• Using the Driver rota to plan runs according to shift patterns and available hours, taking into account holidays and sickness.
• Ensuring legal compliance regarding defects, services, MOTs, etc.
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with drivers; conveying accurate start times, load information, directions, additional shifts, etc.
