Transfer Station Plant Operative

What will I be doing?

You will carry out the operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site,loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors.

This will involve:

• To oversee and ensure safe and efficient operation and use of fixed machinery, such as bailing machines.
• Complete pre-operational safety and operator checks.
• Complete daily checks and maintenance of mobile plant, Fixed Plant and equipment used at the facility.
• Ensuring that all deliveries of waste follow the site licence and any associated paperwork is completed.
• Carry out inspections on incoming product(s) in line with the site Waste Acceptance Criteria and report any non-compliant loads.
• Direct customer’s vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required.
