Training Specialist Job Overview
The Training Specialist is responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating learning and development interventions that improve employee competence and performance. The role supports onboarding and operational training, coordinates training with external service providers, implements blended learning solutions, and ensures SETA compliance through accurate training records and the submission of the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR). Where accredited, the Training Specialist conducts facilitation, assessment and moderation aligned to relevant SETA requirements.
Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 (Matric). Qualification in Education, Human Resource Development, Organisational Development or related field (Bachelor of Education preferred but not mandatory). 3–5 years' experience in training / learning and development, ideally in a retail, automotive, technical or multi-branch environment.
