Training Instructor

Purpose of the Job

To conduct training initiatives in order to satisfy business needs and to meet safety and legal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF equivalent 4 is essential
• ETD certificate (NQF Level 3 - Train the Trainer) is essential
• Registered Assessor and Moderator Certificate is desirable
• Minimum 2 years mining underground experience is essential

Competencies

• Demonstrate knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, regulations and definitions
• Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to basic health and safety principles in the workplace
• Demonstrate understanding of the outcomes-based education and training approach within the context of a National Qualifications Framework
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of HRD legislation (Skills Development Act)
• Demonstrate an understanding of Quality Systems (ISO 9001:2000) ...
