Traffic Signals Electrician

Overview

We’re looking for a Traffic Signals Electrician to join our Canterbury team, installing, maintaining and fault‑finding on traffic signals and ITS equipment across the region. It’s practical, varied work with real impact, and like most good roles here, you’ll be trusted to get stuck in, bring ideas and do good work with good people. The role covers a mix of planned maintenance, repairs and installation work across live sites. Most work sits within a standard Monday to Friday week, but flexibility matters as some jobs will involve weekend work, night shifts and an on‑call roster.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair traffic signals, CCTV, VMS, UPS and other ITS equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out reliability maintenance to keep networks running safely and efficiently.
• Authorise and certify prescribed electrical work in line with registration requirements.
