RACQ’s Traffic Response Unit (TRU) is a specialised operational team of first responders, providing rapid incident response, dynamic traffic management, and motorist support across Queensland’s road network. The TRU plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and resilience of minor and major transport corridors through close collaboration with emergency services and road authorities.

Key Responsibilities
As a Traffic Response Officer (TRO), you will respond to a wide variety of planned and unplanned incidents. Working in high-risk, fast-paced environments, you will help protect motorists, reduce congestion, and restore safe and orderly road operations as quickly and professionally as possible.
