Trade Compliance Specialist

Job Description

The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all cross‑border shipments and maintaining current reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a master list of tariff classifications including supporting documentation for classification.
• Contact secondary suppliers to determine the trade status of purchased products.
• Supply required paperwork to end‑user customers when required.
• Liaise with brokers and supply chain to ensure the smooth movement of goods across borders.
• Manage all inquiries and audit requests with CBSA and US CBP.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding classification, duty rates, documentation requirements, or other import‑related matters.
• Ensure data integrity with all electronic filings with brokers and government agencies for shipment activity.
