Tractor Operator (MVO)

Responsibilities Operates farm-type tractors and towed or attached equipment on level or rolling terrain such as open fields, parks, orchards, lawns, and along roadways. Operates backhoes and front-end loading devices to move trees, dig ditches, unload soil, and perform other tasks associated with grounds maintenance. Operates a wide variety of motor vehicles including vans, platform trucks and stake trucks which typically have gross vehicle weights of 10,000 pounds up to 26,000 pounds. Transports materials and equipment in support of the recycling operation. Determines equipment operations for maneuvering over level or rolling terrain that are appropriate to the operating characteristics of the tractor and towed or attached equipment.
