Town Planner (Development Management)

Your new company A busy local authority has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Town Planner within their Development Management team. This position will be an ongoing temporary contract, with the option to work remotely from home on a hybrid basis 2-3 days per week. There will be a high volume caseload, mostly comprising householder and local development applications. Your new role Working as part of a small development team and reporting to the Principal Planner, you will be tasked with processing a high volume of planning applications, particularly householder applications, and providing planning advice on planning issues with any given development. You will be responsible for ensuring applications received are assessed under relevant local and national planning legislation in accordance with statutory obligations, policies and good practice.
