Therapy Assistant

Join the team at Lakefields Neurological Centre in Chigwell as a Therapy Assistant. You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, SALT and Dietitians to assist and deliver planned therapy programmes that support, develop and/or restore service users’ level of functioning – mobility, self-care, productivity, leisure and everyday activities. You will report to qualified Therapists, support service users on their recovery journey and prepare and assist with individual and group therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake basic procedures as instructed by a qualified therapist, respecting the client’s privacy, dignity and cultural beliefs.
• Report any change in a service user’s condition, circumstances or response to treatment promptly.
• Maintain effective communication within the team and with clients, visitors and colleagues.
• Ensure written/computerised documentation is accurate and complete.
