The Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in a busy hospital NICU/PICU setting. This role involves utilizing advanced respiratory technologies and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory treatments, including high flow devices, nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, and Heliox, to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Evaluate patient conditions, adjust therapies, and document interventions accurately in the Meditech system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain and operate advanced respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Provide coverage for adult floors as needed for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, and related procedures.
