Job Description

Primary Purpose of Position
Assist with upkeep of the grounds to provide beautification to the entire campus.

Perform grounds maintenance (cutting grass, edging and trimming lawns, planting and pruning shrubs and trees, weeding shrub beds, snow and ice removal, etc.); cleans campus of debris, dig ditches, installs fences and sign posts; and performs manual tasks (moving and hauling furniture and other materials including chemicals and gases manually or otherwise, etc.) according to instructions.

Set up and breaks down furniture, stages, materials and equipment for special events and activities.

Operate most small engine grounds maintenance tools and machinery.

Practice safe operating procedures with equipment, around students, vehicles and facilities; attends safety meetings, wears personal protective clothing.
