Temporary Geotechnician

We are hiring for a Geotechnician at Seabee Gold Operation. The role reports to the Supervisor, Resource Development and involves core cutting, sample handling, and support tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Move core to and from core shacks and cutting shacks (estimated 50-70 lbs per box).
• Cut core samples as marked by the geologist.
• Place cut segments into labelled bags, respective of the sample tag number.
• Record sample quantity per bag for entry into an Excel database.
• Arrange core boxes in tidy, organized stacks in the core yard.
• Create and staple core boxes with labels.
• Assist geologists with drill program tasks outside camp, such as locating drill collars.
• Consign cut sample bags for tracking and submission to laboratories.
• Maintain a clean working area.
• Inspect equipment and inform senior employee if maintenance or new tools are required.
