Temporary Full-Time Employment Advisor

DUTIES:

Under general supervision of the Manager of Services:

1. Provide employment support to adults and youth with an intellectual disability and/or autism. This includes, but is not limited to:
   • Assessments
   • Employment readiness training
   • Job coaching and follow up
2. Recruit community employment by:
   • Making cold calls to employers, following up and closing
   • Job carving
   • Creating innovative marketing materials to be used for various audiences
   • Promoting the benefits of the program through individual meetings and group presentations
3. Negotiate terms with employers in particular contractual situations
4. Promote and assist in the development of natural supports within the work environment
5. Promote the department to the public via media, schools, group presentations, conferences, etc.
