Qualifications and Experience

Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for) All applicants will be required to participate in a French fluency assessment (written & oral)Proficiency in written and oral communication in FrenchWillingness to have an interview in French with the District's French Language CoordinatorPracticum work and experience teaching in French or French Immersion at the Intermediate levelAbility to demonstrate thorough knowledge of a balanced literacy program including guided reading and assessment Qualifications and demonstrated ability to teach the identified subjects at the elementary years level Experience with universal design and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students Excellent interpersonal, communications, collaboration and organization skills Experience/training/knowledge of Social Emotional Learning.
