**Job Summary and Qualifications**

The Telemetry Technician performs routine duties within the limits of documented training, skills and competencies. The sole purpose of the Telemetry Technician is to monitor heart rhythm patterns of patients and detect abnormal pattern variances. Routinely reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances. Possesses troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring the problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the problem.
