Description
Position Summary: The Telecom Technician will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of telecommunication systems and associated processes.
Role and Responsibilities:
+ Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
+ Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
+ Installs cable supports, through floor and wall sleeves, fire stopping materials
+ Install relays, cabinets, network switches
+ Terminates data, voice, coaxial, control, and fiber optic cables
+ Install cable trays above and below floors
+ Ability to work in small spaces
+ Test cables to TIA/EIA level II standards with cable analyzer and fiber test equipment
