Technician I, Ophthalmology (On Call)

Job Summary:

The Certified Ophthalmology Technician I works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, assumes the responsibility and accountability of performing Ophthalmic tests on patients as requested by Ophthalmologist.

Essential Responsibilities:



+ Provides direct and indirect patient care associated with physician office visit.


+ Assist provider in the examination and treatment of ophthalmology patients. This assistance includes but is not limited to the following: Examine records and forms and prepares patients for current exam and treatments. Prepare appropriate equipment and instruments for surgery and follow-up care. Assists Ophthalmologist by performing technical tests and records results for procedures for the ophthalmologists analysis and interpretation. Assist in refractive/diagnostic procedures to include manual manifest refractions, auto-refractometry, corneal topography, pachymetry, keratometry, ocular photograp...
