Technical Assistant

Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Assistant to join our Menswear team here at Barbour House in South Shields. As Technical Assistant, you will support the Men's Technical team with new season development and production, helping ensure we continue to deliver premium product in line with the business' critical path and budget.

The expectation for this role is 5 days onsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Track / chase / book in development and samples (from 1st proto to gold seal).
• Measure / review development samples ahead of fit sessions.
• Attend weekly fit sessions, taking notes and photos.
• Support creating, issuing and updating BOMS.
• Barcode layout approvals.
• Support fabric tech with care label layout approvals at peak times, if needed.
• Sending samples / parcels to suppliers, warehouse and customers as needed.
