Tech Sr Surgery

The Sr. Surgical Technologist assumes responsibility and accountability for the preparation of operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques, performs a variety of technical duties to assist patients with surgery, maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives and safety standards. The Sr. Surgical Tech is responsible for pulling cases completely and providing all equipment for the cases. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and follows infection control policies. Maintains aseptic techniques, actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique. Assists in maintaining correct count of instruments, sutures and sponges. Provides comfort and support for pre-operative patients by demonstrating sensitivity to patients care and privacy. Identifies and cares for specimens.
