Role: 

Townsville City
Council is seeking an experienced and contemporary leader to guide
the evolution of our Creative Communities portfolio, encompassing
galleries, performing arts, events, and venue
management.

This
is a pivotal leadership role responsible for modernising services,
uplifting capability, and strengthening governance and systems
across a diverse and high-profile portfolio. You will lead a period
of organisational change, ensuring services operate with
contemporary local government standards while delivering strong
community outcomes.

A
key focus will be the development and implementation of Council’s
Arts and Culture Strategy, embedding it into operational planning
and decision-making to guide investment, priorities and service
delivery.
